Our practice
Elgin Pain Management was originally located in Elgin Street Carlton, It was formed in mid-2016 after relocating from North Melbourne where the practice was initially referred to as Frontiers in Pain. We subsequently moved to new modern, purpose-built consulting rooms in St Georges Road Northcote, the epicentre of the vibrant inner Northern Suburbs of Melbourne and are less than 7 km from the heart of the CBD. In addition to medical practitioners, the practice is staffed by part-time nursing and administrative staff.
Our philosophy
We are a small, holistic pain management practice. Being small, we feel we offer quality, compassionate care in a small practice setting; patients will not be seeing a plethora of people before finally seeing the pain physician. Although chronic pain can be debilitating for the individual and their loved ones, it is not unmanageable with the right direction and focus. In addition, we appreciate the financial costs and hardship associated with chronic pain. We endeavour to keep our consulting costs to the minimum wherever possible and are more than happy to discuss payment management options should finances preclude an individual seeking medical attention. For privately insured patients, Elgin Pain Management participates in known-GAP agreement with the majority of health funds to ensure our patient out of pocket costs are restricted to the bare minimum. If a patient has any financial concerns, we are more than happy to address them.
